Deividas Dulkys Turning Heads
Senior to be Deividas Dulkys has garnered the attention that is the reward for working hard. After a big spring AAU season that garnered double digit offers, Deividas got into the gym and pushed himself even harder. In the summer AAU season it showed as Deividas rocketed up the recruiting rankings, brought new coaches into the gym, and got the media types talking. Rivals.com had Deividas making a leap from #149 in the '08 class in the spring to a 4 star guard ranked #67. Scout.com ranked Deividas as the #11 player in the prep school ranks. Even those as the highest level took notice. NBADraft.net scouted Dulkys as the 10th best player in the Reebok Championships likening him to 10 year NBA veteran Bob Sura! "We’re very excited about Clarence joining our program," Michael Peck, Head Coach for Findlay College Prep said. "He brings a lot to the table in terms of physicality, athleticism, and skill. His skill set and ability match our up-tempo style of play and his physicality will allow him to compete among the nation’s best," Peck added. "I am really excited to come in and apply myself on and off the court. This move will help me to continue to become a better player and person," Trent said. "The area is really nice and I will get the attention that I need, when I need it. The style of play will fit me really well and with the good group of guys returning there it will be a real fun year," Trent added.
DeAndre Liggins Joins Findlay Prep
Five Star Kentucky commit has signed on for 2007-08
Findlay College Prep (Henderson, NV) announced today that junior point guard DeAndre Liggins has signed on to play basketball for the second year program for the 2007-08 season.
"We are extremely excited about DeAndre joining our program. We look forward to working with him as a student and a player as we help him prepare for life beyond Findlay College Prep,” Michael Peck, Head Coach for Findlay College Prep said. “Like all of our players, our goal is for our guys to leave us as better students, better players, and better people. We are confident that he will represent our program well, not only from a talent standpoint, but from a character standpoint as well," Peck added. The national schedule, schooling, and the year round training factored into the decision. “Everything is really nice here,” Liggins said. "I’m excited because I love to play defense and play up tempo. I like to get my teammates involved and I look forward to helping the team win every game we play,” he added.
Liggins played at George Washington High School in Chicago as a junior averaging 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. The 6’6 playmaker committed to play at Kentucky for Coach Billy Gillispie on June 26.
Liggins joins top 150 ranked players Clarence Trent and Deividas Dulkys at Findlay Prep. In addition to Liggins, the incoming class includes 2008 Jordan Bachynski of Calgary (7’), class of 2009 Clarence Trent (6’7), class of 2009 Nigerians Godwin Okonje (6’9) and Raphael Akpejiori (6’9).

Highlights from the Inaugural Season
The character and personality of the team was made clear in game one. Against #7 Stoneridge Prep (signed 2 to USC, 2 to Oklahoma St., Iowa St., Auburn, Valpo, Pepperdine, Binghamton) the upstart Pilots began the game with only 6 active & healthy players. The six battled there way within one before 6 became 5 when Deividas Dulkys went down with an ankle injury. While the result was in the loss column, the 5 that fought until the end proved Findlay would not back down from anyone.

Academic Success! Congrats Ned & Ilija on Great ACT test scores
Congrats to #33 Nedeljko Golubovic and #3 Ilija Djiorjevic who both have received qualifying test scores for the next level. The Serbians came over very limited in the English language but thanks to tremendous preparation as well as the time and effort of many (especially our English as a second language Professor Cosgrove), the young men have made a huge stride toward their ultimate goals. A big shout out to Nedeljko who posted an incredible score of 24 on the test!
